ABOUT JEAN
Thanks to my extensive background in dog training and fine art, I am able to get the best possible performance out of both camera and pets. I bring an artistic eye to my work. My goal for my images is to strive to pique curiosity. If I’ve done my part, viewers should feel magnetism, especially someone who knows the animal; viewers should sense a story distilled into a single image. For it is just these stories I strive to capture for my clients. The resulting works are emotionally charged, sparking everything from wistful remembrance of a departed friend to joyful recollection of lives shared. In the end, the photograph you see on your wall should tell a story that honors your pet. Portraits at their finest memorialize the animals who have meant the most to us.
I believe images should be displayed to enjoy. They interact with my life rather than being stored on my computer or disc for the occasional check or even forgotten about.
I live in the Town of Evans, NY I travel to all parts in Erie County, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and the Southern Tier.
I would love to work with you on telling the story behind your beloved companion. Believe me when I write this - it is never too soon to get photos. So get in touch with me soon!
My email is jean464creates@gmail.com.
My long career as a trainer enables me to cajole your pet into cooperating with us, even if he’s feeling reluctant at first, as many are. I love the challenge of eliciting just the right behavior during a session. Don’t worry if your dog won’t come or stay or reliably do much of anything. I have yet to run across a problem I can’t fix, and believe me, I’ve seen some doozies. My lifetime around dogs guarantees I can find the supermodel lurking in your furry friend. Dogs enjoy their shoots with me, and a happy dog, I find, will give his all.
If you like candid images, or shots with more spontaneity, those are also options. After all, sometimes a little chaos is fun, and some dogs just don’t seem to like themselves when they are doing a canine version of George Washington crossing the Delaware. I can always add or subtract formality as you see fit.
Animal safety is of course a top priority. Long lines and leashes prevent a dog or other animal from running off. I can remove these later in the images, so they are not visible in the final portrait.
The time is now to unfold a story.
