Just get started! Figure out how. This is my beginnings in the Photography world. My first blog devoted to my pet photography venture! The Business end has been in formulation for about a year now - the photography end has been in development since high school ... back in the late 70s is all I will say. Jean Barrett Pet Photography. That is it - my business name. I so want to add the word Artist somewhere in there too. Only because I believe when I take pictures I engage my creativity to the scene. It is not just pointing and shooting with my camera. My images tend to show a creative take to the scene. My goal is to evoke a wanting to learn more from the viewer, to bring out an emotional connection , or allowing the inner story of the subject to spring forth. A few months ago I had the pleasure of photographing a group of Maltese dogs and a Shih Tzu. Sophie, Lulu, Eli and Abbey. They came out of the jeep ready to tackle the world. GRIN. They wanted to be everywhere in the area I choose to take some photos in. I had decided to go to Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park, NY. It is very lovely with many areas of potential picture taking. These are a couple of photos from the session I did. This was the 'bring it on' moment for Sophie. She has such a cute top knot and a hair tie that looked like she had a rose on her head. The other image I chose is of 16 year old Abbey. She was such a sweet heart. Shortly after I took these images, Abbey crossed the rainbow bridge. I am glad I was able to take some special images of Abbey. A few other great happenings going on around here that I want to blog about....
